The Seasons Change Everything

Autumn came and went in all its glory, dropping an unexpected weekend of snow just before Halloween, and we had another weeked of snow just a few weeks back. Its mid-Feb now and we still have no snow! Have to say we are feeling slightly ripped off! Nevermind, we shall keep hoping that late Feb brings some more and be content that the winter is mild and beautiful. Gorgeous sunny, yet chilly days, quite divine.

I guess I have tonnes of catching up to do with everyone , so lets start with Autumn. As September came to an end the weather was a tad more Melbourne, temperatures up and down like a yo yo and quite a few rainy days. The relief from the revolting heat and humidity was just lovely, and a sense of comfort and familiarity began to arrive. Its almost as if we had been holding our breath and Autumn was our first chance to finally exhale and start breathing again. A change in season can do that to a person. Autumn is indeed a wonderful time to be in New York.

In the coming posts, I shall endeavour to share with you the glorious adventures we have been on.

For now, much love to all

Even though it's been a very MELBOURNE summer (i.e. a hot water bottle taken to bed at least once a week), I am sooooo looking forward to some crispy autumn - right before I start whinging about a frosty winter...

I'm not sure if it's my northern hemisphere blood, but I am definitely a cooler weather person. Totally loving putting on my 'doona coat' hat and gloves and walking in the crisp air!
